The manuscript was discovered by an antiquarian of Lithuanian origins Wilfrid Voynich, from whom it took its name. The authorship of the work is unknown, as well as the date of creation, the area of origin and the language used. Since its discovery in 1912, the Voynich manuscript continues to arouse curiosity and questions. Despite various attempts at deciphering, the drawings and texts shown on the parchment pages continues to keep its secrets.
