The manuscript was discovered by an antiquarian of Lithuanian origins Wilfrid Voynich, from whom it took its name. The authorship of the work is unknown, as is the date of creation, the area of origin and the language used.
Since its discovery in 1912, the Voynich manuscript continues to arouse curiosity and questions. Despite various attempts at deciphering, the drawings and texts shown on the kid's parchment pages continues to keep its secrets.
The Voynich manuscript consists of 102 sheets (204 pages) written and illustrated by hand.
