Leonardo da Vinci - Salvator Mundi

In the Salvator Mundi painted by Leonardo da Vinci, Jesus Christ is depicted frontally and in half figure, with his right hand raised to bless. With his left hand he holds a sphere, a symbol of perfection and its universal power. For some, the sphere is made of glass and is empty, for others it is filled with water, for others it is made of rock crystal, as the quartz inclusions represented at the base would seem to demonstrate.
